Canal tour in Thailand

So i met up with my sister and her boyfriend and they were all out-templed and wanted to do something else. Since my hotel was close to the river i thought we could just check out the river and relax. It was hot and it took us some trouble to navigate through the Bangkok maze but we eventually made it and arrived at a pier. A Thai guy saw that we wer obviously tourist so inmediatly approached us to sell us a boat tour.

Since it was hot, we were actually quite fond of the idea to go on the water and catch some cold breeze. The canal tour was fun and we saw a total constrast with the livingstyle of the people next to the canals and the rest of the city. The guy from the pier told us the trip would last 1 hour but the boat guy already returned us after just 40 minutes. Not only that, but a few days later i also found out we paid too much. Still we had great fun at that time although short.
